- Base salary range (Levels 6-7): $91,833 – $111,534 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The division of Student Wellbeing and Engagement facilitates a high-quality student experience through the provision of integrated and comprehensive services. The Living Room is an award winning, accredited, peer led, student-focused space, designed to promote wellbeing, encourage belonging, and provide low-barrier access to support. The Living Room is the foundation of the Student Wellbeing team, responsible for the delivery of the UWA Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework, focusing on opportunities for early intervention and timely access to low barrier services, fostering a welcoming and inclusive University community.
About the opportunity
- Guide and mentor Peer Supporters, promoting student connection and engagement.
- Provide high-quality, confidential support to a diverse student community.
- Coordinate responses to complex student needs, including risk assessments, and facilitate referrals to specialised services.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Current registration with a professional organisation, such as the Australian Association of Social Workers (Mental Health Social Worker), or membership with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) / ACA (Australian Counselling Association).
- Demonstrated capability and experience with risk assessment and crisis intervention.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
